We have an exciting opportunity to join the Centre for Climate Research Singapore (CCRS) to lead our Department of Weather Research (DWR).

At CCRS, our mission is ’To advance scientific understanding of tropical climate variability and change and its associated weather systems affecting Singapore and the wider Southeast Asia Region, so that the knowledge and expertise can benefit decision makers and the community’. Our vision is 'To be a world leading centre in tropical climate and weather research focusing on the Southeast Asia region.’

The DWR has contributed significantly to the realisation of our vision in recent years, through e.g. published research in tropical rainfall, local/regional air quality and urban meteorology; the development of a high-resolution, tropical 'SINGV' Numerical Weather Prediction system; and R&D supporting our haze/air quality prediction capabilities. Collaborations with local universities and international partners (e.g. through the ASEAN Specialised Meteorological Centre and the Unified Model Partnership) are key to DWR activities.
