We are looking to recruit a Research scientist / Post-Doc (f/m) in applied hydrological sciences to work within the DFG Research Unit RealPEP, which aims to advance probabilistic flash flood nowcasts by improving precipitation nowcasting products and hydrological modelling approaches. The successful candidate will set up flood forecasting experiments using newly developed precipitation products, applying advanced hydrologic modelling and data assimilation technologies in supercomputing environments.

The contract may start as early as February 2021 (initial period of 2 years with the possibility of extension)
