The Live Broadcast Producer is expected to prepare a rundown with weather-related content and forecasting then executes the delivery on the award-winning AccuWeather Network. Every day is different and new, allowing your competitive spirit and team-driven attitude to shine. Backed by AccuWeather’s expert team of meteorologists and broadcasters, the AccuWeather Network is currently available to more than 24 million homes on Verizon Fios, Frontier Cable, DIRECTV and AT&T TV NOW. To save lives and help businesses prosper, our coverage spans before, during and after storms. This position will work at AccuWeather’s Headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania, and must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays and overnights, as needed.
The ideal candidate must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a dynamic, live news production environment at a television station or broadcast network. Working knowledge of non-linear editing suites, such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro, is required, as is experience using newsroom content management systems like ENPS and iNews and digital editorial programming tools, such as a CMS and/or OVP.
We are looking for a control room leader and team player who leads by example and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Live Broadcast Producer must be able to handle rapidly changing situations and change the direction of a story due to breaking weather or news.
