Here is another announcement from the University of Colorado at Boulder (U.S.A).
The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado at Boulder encourages applications for a researcher to study moisture-precipitation coupling in the tropics with a focus on the development of novel model diagnostics. The successful applicant will work at the U. S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – Earth System Research Laboratory/Physical Sciences Division (NOAA ESRL/PSD). Within PSD, the researcher will work in the Atmosphere and Ocean Processes team. The initial research topic to be addressed will be on assessing the relationship between buoyancy and precipitation at low latitudes and how those are represented in global models with parameterized moist convection. This position offers the opportunity to grow into other research areas of mutual interest to the candidate, CIRES and NOAA.
