A new federal job opening in the Ecosystem Sciences Division (ESD) at the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) in Honolulu is now posted at https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/564569800.  The announcement number is NMFS-PIC-2020-0018, and the pay grade will be ZP-3 or ZP-4.

With this new hire, we are aiming to enhance our work in long-term monitoring of populations, characterization of population and stock structure, biogeography, biodiversity, adaptation, and connectivity.  Like other colleagues is ESD, we hope that this new hire will engage broadly with PIFSC scientists to work towards increasing the scientific information available to resource managers in their decision-making process, facilitate short-term predictions and long-term projections of ecosystem conditions, and offer insight to the impacts of future environmental change on human societies.

The application period is 04/06/2020 through 04/14/2020.  Please note that Monster Government Solutions (which manages the application process) will be performing scheduled maintenance from April 11th to April 12th.  The scheduled maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on April 11th and end at 6:00 p.m. ET on April 12th. You may not be able to complete the application process during these times.

I encourage you to look over the application, to apply if you are interested, and to pass on the posting to other individuals who are qualified.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Ryan Rykaczewski
