We invite applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship focused on developing wind power forecasting strategies for wind energy applications. We seek a highly qualified applicant with strong quantitative skills and an excellent understanding of physical processes relevant to short term wind power forecasting. You will work with real-time observational data and numerical model output to make a practical contribution to our wind power forecasts on time-scales of minutes to hours.
The position is located within the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Dr Claire Vincent, but you will work collaboratively with team members in Engineering and with our industry partners.
