Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) is both an international research institute and a 24/7 operational weather service located in Helsinki, Finland. It currently employs over 300 full time researchers working on weather and climate, atmospheric composition, high latitude and polar oceans, and cryosphere.
The Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling Group is seeking for an enthusiastic researcher for projects related to using and developing air quality modelling software (EnFuser). EnFuser-model is specifically targeting urban air quality and has been used for operative air quality forecasts in Helsinki area for two years already (see: https://ilmanlaatukartta.hsy.fi/) We are also utilizing and further developing EnFuser-model in several international projects (eg. in India and China).
This position suits a person who is looking for new challenges and has the determination, scientific mind and technical skills to conquer them.
