The University of Palermo (Italy), Department of Physics and Chemistry, is opening a
post-doc position on Stochastic Biogeochemical Modelling in the framework of
the ICCC project on the Impact of Climate Change on the biogeochemistry of
Contaminants in the Mediterranean sea.
The position is for 18 months with possible extension up to a maximum of 30 months.
The total gross amount for 18 months is euro 37,500.00.
The activity is carried out in collaboration with other Italian Institutes OGS and CNR, and involves the development of next generation numerical models based on techniques of statistical physics. Interaction with experimental groups involved in the project is foreseen.
Requirement: Master's Degree.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering
with expertise in scientific programming (Fortran, C , Python, R).
The deadline for the application is 21th February 2020.
