Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the sponsored research project by the Department of Science and Technology Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SREB), Govt. of India, to carry out research in the field of hydroclimatology at Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur – 721302, India.

Principal Investigator: Dr (Er). Poulomi Ganguli (Assistant Professor), Land and Water Resources Engineering, Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India
Title of the Project: Hydrological Drought Co-Incidence Risk Analysis over Large River Basins in India.
Duration of the Project: 24 months w.e.f. 03-12-2019
Educational Qualification: ME/MTech and BE/BTech or equivalent with 2 years of experience in the area of Agricultural/Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources Engineering. Valid GATE score is required.
Relevant Experience: Knowledge in statistical and data driven methods and its application in hydrologic extremes (for example, droughts, floods), water resources will be an added advantage. Experience in MATLAB/R programming language is also desired. Candidates with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.5/10 or higher would be preferred.
Emoluments: 31000 INR (fixed)
