Lancaster University is currently advertising several PhD studentships within the Lancaster Environment Centre, for an October 2020 start. These include:

Improving UK air quality forecasts during heatwaves

 

This project is suitable for students with a range of backgrounds, including: statistics, mathematics, physical or environmental sciences, data science, or a related discipline. For full details see:

Students will be supported by a tax-free stipend (£15,009 in 2019/20), typically for 3.5 years. In addition, for eligible students, awards will cover EU/UK fees. A research training support grant (RTSG) of £8,750 will also be provided. Note, the studentship is only available to UK and EU candidates.
