Dear colleagues,

There is a vacancy for a PhD position in Meteorology at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. The position is for a fixed-term period of 4 years. I would greatly appreciated if you could post this information and/or inform potential candidates at your department about this opportunity.

About the project/work tasks:
Focus will be on air-sea interaction processes with emphasis on the mechanisms acting from synoptic to storm track scales. The candidate will investigate the mechanisms by which the sea surface temperature and sea ice edge interact with the atmosphere using theory and idealised simulations as well as diagnostics applied to reanalysis and climate model data.

The full position announcement, qualifications, and application procedure can be found via the link below:

Application deadline: 15 November.

Best wishes,
Thomas
