Dear colleagues,

with this email I would like to draw your attention to the extended application deadline for a postdoctoral position in my research group at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Geography.

The position focuses on the model-based interpretation of changes in glaciers and hydrological systems across the Northern/Western European and Central Asian mountain ranges over centennial time scales (past and future), zooming in on the impacts of such changes on local communities. The project is part of the department's priority research on the societal impacts of climate change and will be carried out in collaboration with the growing team at NTNU and international partners from Sweden and Germany.

The position is initially advertised for 2 years, with a possibility of extension of 2 years in case of successful implementation of the first phase. The selected applicant will work across the fields of Physical and Human Geography, leading the Physical Geography component of the project on the integration of the field and remote-sensed data into models. The job description and application form can be found here: https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/174312/postdoctoral-fellow-in-geography. The deadline for applications is now October 14.

Kind regards,

Irina
