[Met-jobs] PhD Opportunity on Clouds and Precipitation over the high-latitudes of the Southern Ocean
Monash University, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, the Australian Antarctic Division and the Bureau of Meteorology, is offering a PhD scholarship to study the synoptic meteorology, clouds and precipitation over the high-latitudes of the Southern Ocean using recent field observations.
We seek a motivated post-graduate student with interests in both field observations and numerical simulations. An ideal PhD candidate for this research must demonstrate a genuine interest in meteorology and expertise in coding and data analysis. Graduates with a strong academic record (including Honours Class I or equivalent) in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent quantitative discipline are particularly encouraged to apply.
