The University of Exeter wishes to recruit a full time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in research on the impacts of shipping in the North Atlantic and Arctic with Dr Jo Browse.

This Natural Environment research council funded post is available for 3 years starting in 2019 (latest possible start beginning of 2020).The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of cutting edge models designed to understand the response of  Arctic and North Atlantic temperatures to ship emitted short lived climate forcers.

The project will examine the impact of incoming international emission regulations and the expansion of high-latitude shipping on Arctic and North Atlantic aerosol and cloud. In addition to modelling, the successful applicants will work with the ship emissions in the Arctic and North Atlantic (SEANA) campaign to develop novel observational strategies to constrain model uncertainty.
