Are you an ambitious climate modeller looking for your next challenge? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?
We’ve just re-opened a postdoc position in climate-ice sheet modelling at the University of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a climate modeller interested in ice sheet-climate interactions, abrupt climate change, rapid ice sheet and sea level changes, model uncertainty and emulation or linking the past and the future.
You will join a team of climate and ice sheet scientists and statisticians as part of a prestigious and exciting 7-year project that will provide robust estimates of ‘worst case’ future sea level rise using information from the past when ice sheets became unstable.
The position is initially for 2.5 years but can be extended (funding is already in place).
Closing date for external applicants is 17th September: http://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/ENVEE1340
Full details are in the Candidate Brief (see link at the bottom of the page) and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to know more. Don’t be shy!
