MSc/PhD studies in Physical Oceanography.
The area of interest includes numerical simulations and/or laboratory experiments with stratified/rotating fluids with applications to the Earth’s oceans and atmosphere as well as atmospheres of Jupiter and Saturn. Students with strong background in physics and mathematics are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be conducting experiments on the rotating platform using the state of the art Altimetric Image Velocimetry system. Numerical simulations can be run using Compute Canada multiprocessor machines. For more details and contact information see: https://www.physics.mun.ca/~afanai/
