Postdoctoral Researcher in Satellite-Derived Global Fire Emissions (London, UK)

We require a committed scientist to work in a team further developing the Global Fire Assimilation System (GFAS), a state-of-the-art, FRP-based landscape fire smoke emissions estimation system currently operated as part of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS). The work has both high science visibility and the potential for significant impact as, together with an international consortium, the aim is to deliver the updated CAMS-GFAS system.

You will have experience in handling relevant satellite remote sensing data and products, be comfortable writing well documented Python code, and be able produce high quality outputs and reports to deadlines.

International applicants are welcomed.
Deadline 2nd June 2019.
