Within the Earth Sciences Department of Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), led by Prof Francisco Doblas-Reyes, the Computational Earth Sciences group is looking for a junior Python developer to improve the Autosubmit workflow manager (

Autosubmit is a Python-based software which allows to create, manage and monitor climate and weather modelling experiments by using Computing Clusters and Supercomputers remotely via ssh, being able to combine multiple platforms in the same workflow. It is the tool used at the BSC to run experiments with the EC-Earth climate model, the NEMO ocean model, or the MONARCH air quality model. This kind of applications are really important due to the advent of new and more flexible software technologies that require of scalable and robust models orchestration procedures.

We need a proactive candidate with good programming skills to join our development team and improve the most used tool in the department by adding a new graphical layer in order to improve the user experience and boost the efficiency of this software.
