Postdoctoral Position in Regional Climate Modeling

The UCLA Center for Climate Science is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral researcher
with expertise in regional atmospheric modeling to join a new and high-impact project on the
future of wildfire in California. The successful candidate will design and execute regional climate
modeling simulations with the WRF model.

Supervised by Prof. Alex Hall, this position also offers exciting opportunities to closely
collaborate with physical and social scientists across multiple academic and governmental
climate research institutions. The candidate will also have the ability to engage with
stakeholders involved in wildfire management across California, along with unique opportunities
to present their work to regional policymakers and the media. The position also offers a chance
for the candidate to mentor junior researchers and provide leadership on overall modeling
activities for the Center.

Full details are attached.
