Dear Colleagues,

We seek a researcher to evaluate the skill and uncertainty of deterministic and ensemble model forecasts of high-impact weather over Southeast Asia and to explore the reasons underpinning higher skill in certain situations. The research will be part of the multi-institute project Forecasting for Southeast Asia (FORSEA), supported by the Newton Fund, which aims to improve forecasts of high-impact weather in Southeast Asia in order to reduce social and economic losses from these weather events.

For details please see https://jobs.reading.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=4902

Sincerely,
Chris Holloway, Associate Professor, Dept. of Meteorology, Univ. of Reading
