King's College London invites applications for an
atmospheric modeller to work within a team assessing the environmental and human health impacts of biomass burning emissions. The post will focus on AQ modelling and be located in the research group led by Professor Martin Wooster. The post-holder will
have extensive experience using
WRF-Chem and/or CMAQ, and since the post is funded by research projects focused on India and Indonesia these will form the initial targets. Field and laboratory studies
of fire emissions are involved and the candidate may wish optionally to get involved with these aspects as well. The postholder will have the opportunity
work within the UK's National Center for Earth Observation (NCEO), part of which is based at King's.
The post will be a
Fixed Term, Full Time Contract for 24 months in the first instance, with
a starting salary of
£37,412 to £39,484 per annum.
There is the possibility of a further extension of up to 2 years under the forthcoming
Leverhulme Centre for Wildfires, Environment and Society, part of which will be based at King's from its Autumn 2019 opening.
