Postdoc Position in the Atmospheric Complexity Group
Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen
Convective clouds are known to interact. But how does this interaction structure the atmosphere? And how does it give rise to extreme precipitation?
The interdisciplinary Atmospheric Complexity team at Niels Bohr Institute is seeking a creative postdoctoral researcher. The team’s focus is on the physics of atmospheric self-organization on varying spatio-temporal scales, in particular on the interaction of the convective cloud field and the origin of extreme precipitation in a changing climate. We use methods from non-equilibrium statistical physics, fluid dynamics and geoscience to describe, understand and generalize complex processes in the atmosphere. We offer a creative, international and strongly interdisciplinary work environment. The position will be for 1 year, with the option of 1 year extension.
