The theoretical meteorology group at the University of Hamburg invites applications for a post-doctoral position in large-scale atmospheric dynamics and numerical modelling.
This is a three-year position that prepares scholars for academic positions involving teaching and research.
The successful application will combine novel diagnostic methods and numerical models of different complexity to analyze spatio-temporal variability of the climate system.
The candidates can hold a PhD degree in atmospheric science, physical oceanography, physics, applied mathematics or a related field. They are expected to have an appropriate track record of communicating research results, strong computational skills, and a high level of independence and creativity.
