The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) at Forschungszentrum Jülich operates
one of 
the most powerful supercomputer infrastructures for scientific and technical

applications in Europe and grants scientists in Germany and Europe access to
resources for their research. The department of Federated Systems and Data
at JSC 
develops software for data analysis, data management and workflow management
distributed data and computer systems. The research group Earth System Data 
Exploration applies these tools to develop new analysis methods for Earth
System data 
with a focus on Deep Machine Learning.
Specifically, the partners in the research project DeepRain develop new deep
strategies for improving local scale precipitation forecasts based on data
numerical weather prediction models and radar observations.

To strengthen our team we are looking for:

- PostDoc to develop Deep Learning Methods for the analysis and forecast of
data [2019-052]

- Data Manager in the field of earth system data [2019-061]

- Software developer of services for HPC and cloud infrastructures

- Project manager for European and German research projects [2019-062]
