Research Fellow in Urban Air Quality Modelling University of Birmingham, UK An enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated person is sought for a Research Fellow position to work on a collaborative project "West Midlands Air Quality Improvement Programme" (WM-Air), a five-year programme funded by the Natural Environment Research Council. The overall aim of WM-Air is to enable our stakeholders to reduce the impacts of air pollution upon human health and economic growth in the West Midlands, translating NERC-funded environmental science to support regional decision making. The successful candidate will work with Dr Xiaoming Cai and other project team members to develop a horizon-scanning modelling tool of air quality impacts from policy interventions, building upon ADMS and CMAQ to generate air quality maps of the West Midlands under business-as-usual and alternative future policy scenarios. They will also communicate with and train end-users in application of the project outcomes. This is a fixed-term full time (24-month) position.
