At the Department of Meteorology at Stockholm University (MISU) in Sweden we are currently hiring several researchers, post-doc candidates and a Ph.D. student.

Here I would like to draw your attention to an opportunity for 1-2 postdoctoral fellows to join a team working on a European Research Commission (ERC) funded 5-year project on bounding the Earth´s climate sensitivity with a particular focus on the low probability – but high risk – upper end. Whereas traditional methods have been successful in bounding the lower end, they have not proven effective at bounding the upper end. In the project we use and combine evidence from Earth's past warm and cold climates, instrumental and satellite records, radiative transfer and innovative climate modeling including global cloud resolving modelling.

The application deadline is on 21 January 2019, and more information as well as instruction on applying can be found here:

Best regards,
Thorsten Mauritsen
