Applications are invited to our PhD programme in Climate Physics as part of the Oxford Doctoral Training Partnership in Environmental Research.

This is an exciting opportunity to research the physics of the climate system through the Oxford NERC-funded Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) on projects in one of three streams, including the Physical Climate System stream, see https://www.environmental-research.ox.ac.uk/researchstream/the-physical-climate-system/.

The University of Oxford has a broad climate research programme with more than 200 researchers working in this area and has strong links to world leading partners, including the Met Office Academic Partnership programme, ECMWF, ESA, Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Satellit Catapult and others.

Please feel free to contact potential supervisors directly to discuss research ideas. All general enquiries should be directed to enquiries@env-res.ox.ac.uk

Applications for the 2019 entry can be made online with an application deadline of 12:00 noon on Friday 25th January 2019, see https://www.environmental-research.ox.ac.uk/how-to-apply/

Please also note that we will be holding an Open Day on Wednesday 28th November 2018 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History where you can meet the supervisors, talk to current students, hear about the programme and ask questions. Registration for the event is through https://www.environmental-research.ox.ac.uk/event/the-open-day-this-year-will-be-held-at-the-oxford-university-museum-of-natural-history/
