The Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking entry-level scientists to work on projects aimed at advancing understanding and modeling of the coupled Earth System, with a focus on one or more of the following topics: the hydrologic cycle, precipitation extremes, cloud processes, cloud-radiation-circulation feedbacks, land-atmosphere interactions, terrestrial biogeochemical processes, terrestrial-aquatic system, coupled climate feedbacks, and/or feedbacks between these processes and human activities. Successful candidates will work with multi-disciplinary teams to improve and apply state-of-the-art Earth System models, in combination with observational datasets, to address key science questions related to the water, energy, and biogeochemical cycles. Desirable attributes include a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
