Envision Energy is a global leading smart energy management company. It owns the world's largest Energy IoT platform, EnOS™. Envision has regional offices across Asia, Europe, North and Latin America and has established global R&D and engineering centres in Denmark, Germany, Singapore and the United States. The Envision’s Global Digital Hub has been set up in Singapore in early 2018, partnering with Ascendas-Singbridge Group, Sunseap Group, the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore, and the Nanyang Technological University. The meteorological capacity developing in this Digital hub will be a key base for Envision’s business.
Due to Envision’s expanding business, we are seeking three best-in-class meteorologists and engineer with experience in state-of-the-art weather modelling, forecasting and machine learning techniques. In cooperation with US NCAR, UK Met Office, ECMWF and other meteorological agencies he/she will work with Envision’s meteorological team to improve forecast accuracy of wind, solar, rainfall, lightning and temperature etc.
Meteorologist I: urban modelling expert to support Envision’s smart building application.
Meteorologist II: cloud modelling expert to improve Envision’s solar forecast.
Meteorologist III: machine learning expert to improve wind/solar energy forecast from wind and solar data.
PhD/MSc in Meteorology/Atmospheric Physics, Statistics or similar,
He or she must have experience working with NWP model or machine learning and capable of integrating new advances gleaned from the research community to improve the accuracy of weather forecasts.
Programming (Matlab/Python, bash, NCL, Fortran...),
Good English oral and written communication skills, Chinese is a plus.
The selected candidate will be employed by Envision Digital Singapore with a highly completive package and can start ASAP. The starting salary and the level of entry will depend upon experience. In addition to salary, a performance-related bonus payment and healthy insurance package will apply.
