We are offering a regional climate modeler position (full-time, tenure track) with a focus on mountainous terrain that we are opening now.

The official opening is on the University of Innsbruck’s Career Portal (https://orawww.uibk.ac.at/public/karriereportal.home) -which is only in German and is only ‘open’ for  3 weeks (because it is tenure track position). If you do not understand German, please refer to the attached opening (the command of the German language is not a pre-requisite for this position!).

You may apply through this career portal, but also directly by sending the required material via e-mail to the head of department. He is, of course, also more than happy to answer any questions regarding the position.

Please note the

application deadline: July 11 2018

(even if you apply directly through e-mail, you have to do this before, or at latest on, July 11 2018).

We are offering a permanent position for a regional climate modeler in a stimulating environment - stimulating in the academic sense (we do have quite a bit of experience in atmospheric modeling over complex mountainous terrain, and also in the treatment and understanding of atmospheric and glaciological processes over topography), and equally stimulating when just looking out of the window, and thus directly into the heart of the Alps with its enormous potential for all sorts outdoor and cultural activity.

If you have any questions regarding this position, please do not hesitate to contact the head of the department (mathias.rotach<at>uibk.ac.at).
