Graduate Scientist
CERC is a scientific SME that makes use of new research to develop and apply practical but scientifically advanced environmental software. Our ADMS air dispersion modelling software is a market leader in the UK and is used extensively worldwide, and we provide the airTEXT air quality forecasting service for London and the South East.  We have collaborative commercial and research projects in the UK and overseas including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Latvia, China and India. We are looking for a diligent science graduate with excellent analytical skills to join our team based in the centre of Cambridge. You should be able to analyse data within a spreadsheet package and document your conclusions clearly, with graphical and tabular output. Programming experience is desirable, particularly in Microsoft Excel VBA; Fortran, Python, R and MATLAB are also useful.  The post is full-time, for one year, with an initial 3-month probationary period and a salary in the range £26,000 to £28,500.
 
Required attributes:
? A good degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering
? Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
? Ability to meet deadlines
? Legal right to work in the UK
 
Advantageous attributes:
? Experience of programming
? Experience in meteorology, atmospheric physics and fluid flow.
