Date Fri, 20 Apr 2018 03:11:14 +0000

We are seeking two postdoctoral researchers to join the Climate & Ocean Physics group in Oxford (details and links below).

The projects are concerned with ocean heat uptake, dynamic sea level projections and ocean circulation changes. The tools are a mix of theory, conceptual models, numerical simulations and observations to understand ocean processes and associated uncertainties in regional sea level projections.

1- Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Ocean and Climate Dynamics (Heat Uptake)
Vacancy ID : 133554

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Ocean and Climate Dynamics (Heat Uptake). The post is available for up to 3 years.

This project will focus on the understanding of patterns of ocean heat content (OHC) changes, using new observations and estimates of OHC, and conceptual models. The successful candidate will join the Climate & Ocean Physics Group led by Prof Zanna as part of the TICTOC project coordinated by Dr. Elaine McDonagh (NOC). TICTOC includes six UK institutions and several international partners.
