We are looking for a candidate for a PhD in climate dynamics.

Title : Role of the Oceanic Circulation in the North Atlantic Climate 
Variability

LOCEAN, Sorbonne University, 4 place Jussieu, 75005 Paris

Job specification :
The PhD aims at better understanding the processes that cause the Atlantic 
Multidecadal Variability (AMV) and the associated climate impacts using various 
atmosphere-ocean general circulation model (AOGCM) simulations. 

Required Qualification:
Knowledge of physical oceanography, climate physics and general circulation or 
a related relevant field. A working knowledge of numerical models and 
programming (we use Fortran), as well as data analysis software 
(matlab/python...) is a plus.
