International Lecturer in Atmospheric Science (BJTU)

Salary:   £34,520 to £47,722

Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) is seeking to enhance its strong national 
and international profile of excellence, and is expanding as part of a 
programme of investment by the University by appointing a new Lecturer. The 
International Lectureship in Atmospheric Science aims to enhance our research 
and teaching in areas such as atmospheric chemistry, air quality, meteorology, 
and climate science.

Lancaster University has recently established a joint institute with its highly 
ranked partner in China, Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). The campus of the 
institute is located in Weihai in Shandong province. We wish to appoint a 
Lecturer to strengthen collaboration with this key strategic partner in China. 
You will be expected to carry out internationally leading research in the 
atmospheric sciences and deliver research-led teaching at the Joint Institute 
in Weihai. You will be expected to teach general areas of atmospheric science, 
meteorology and climate science with relevance to the Far East and China in 
particular.

Members of academic staff are entitled to paid accommodation in Weihai, travel 
allowances, tax support and medical insurance in accordance with Lancaster 
University’s International (Short term) Assignment framework.
