Postdoc in atmospheric complexity
Are you interested in studying convective self-organization and how it leads to extreme precipitation?
At Niels Bohr Institute we study this using high-resolution simulations, observations and methods from statistical physics. We take an interdisciplinary, complex-systems approach.
If your background (PhD is required) is in statistical physics, atmospheric science (theoretical or observational), or fluid dynamics more generally and you have some programming experience (e.g., C, Fortran, Python, R, Mathematica) and know how to deal with standard climate data (netcdf etc.), feel free to formulate some research questions of your own and send them using the link below. It is an advantage if you like to build simple, but non-trivial, models and are happy to write them down as equations and simulate them using a computer.
