Post-doctoral position on convection-permitting climate modelling over Europe

Institut Pierre Simon Laplace (IPSL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position dedicated to the realisation of convection permitting climate simulations over Europe in present and near future climate to analyse the added value of such simulations for the study of high impact weather events. This work will contribute to the H2020 european project EUropean Climate Prediction system (EUCP). The modelling plateform used will be WRF coupled with the land surface scheme ORCHIDEE, which is particularly well suited to study hydrological extremes.

The position is available from spring 2018 for an initial appointment of 12 months with possibility of extension for up to one year.

For additional details and to apply, please see the attached annoucement.
