I have a PhD studentship available to study the role of the
transportation sector on observed variations of PM2.5 over the
National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. It is funded by the
Ford Motor Company.
The starting point for the project will be to use an established model that describes the chemical aging of organic aerosol, which will be linked to high-resolution atmospheric trajectories over Delhi. We will run the model using climatological environmental conditions indicative of Delhi during different seasons of the year (e.g., emissions, temperature, precipitation). The ideal candidate has a degree in one of the physical sciences.
