[Met-jobs] PhD Student Opportunity at the British Antarctic Survey on 'Future Antarctic ice sheet climate and mass balance'

The British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge, UK is seeking applications for a PhD studenship on Future Antarctic ice sheet climate and mass balance through its NERC Great Western Four+ Doctoral Training Partnership (GW4+ DTP), starting in autumn 2018.


Successful applicants will work with Dr Andrew Orr and use regional modelling of the atmosphere to deliver projections of the future climate of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, including associated changes in surface mass balance and meltwater availability. The climate projections will be used to force an ice-sheet model to explore the effects of climate change on the Antarctic Ice Sheet evolution.
