College of DuPage seeks full-time, tenure track faculty member/s to
teach Meteorology courses starting in August, 2018. Specific teaching
duties will require an understanding of mesoscale process, forecasting,
and severe weather meteorology. Faculty duties include classroom
instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students,
professional inquiry, committee work and engaging with instructional
technology. Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes,
such as face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats during
days, evenings and weekends.


Master's degree in Meteorology, or a Master's degree plus 18 semester
hours of graduate level credit in the discipline of instruction required.

Teaching experience required. The hired candidate is expected to teach
courses specific to meteorology and climatology. Teaching experience in
Higher Education preferred. Experience in storm chasing and/or emergency
management or communications preferred.

Experience with one or more of the following areas preferred: data
simulation, data visualization, programming, web development, python,
php, GEMPAK, McIDAS, _javascript_, css, GIS software.
