Modelling & analysing catastrophe exposure is an exciting and rapidly expanding area of our business. The team work closely with Insurance Broker’s in London offering a wide range of analytical services including data management, catastrophe modelling, exposure management, financial modelling, and bespoke analytics. Our services are specifically focused to understand & quantify risk from natural and man-made perils such as windstorm, earthquake, flood and terrorism.


The Opportunity

Day-to-day, you will be involved in processing and auditing client data, running client portfolios against state-of-the-art internal and external computer models and synthesising the results. You must be able to show that you take a methodical approach to problem-solving and are comfortable with numbers and IT. A background in natural hazards, engineering mathematics, Actuarial Science and/or IT is preferred. In addition, you should have the ability to effectively communicate technical detail internally and to external clients who do not necessarily have technical knowledge of the subject. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and self-motivated team player.


The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to PHD or Masters degree level in a relevant discipline. You will be or have the ability to become a confident presenter and familiar with the insurance market. Knowledge of programming languages would be an advantage. Experience using GIS software would also be beneficial.
