One fully funded PhD studentship is available at the University of Leicester to commence on 8 January 2018.

The project involves an analysis of atmospheric spectra recorded by the IASI satellite instruments to provide quantitative information on carbonyl sulfide in the atmosphere.  Carbonyl sulfide has recently emerged as a proxy for the photosynthetic uptake of carbon dioxide, and can potentially provide information on the anthropogenic perturbation to the carbon cycle, one of the principal driving factors of climate change.

The deadline for applications is 27 October, with the studentship commencing in January 2018.  Further details can be found at:

Please do not hesitate to contact me at jh592@leicester.ac.uk if you require further information.
