Appointments will be for a 2-year initial period with a prospect of a permanent position. The Hazard Risk and Impact Assessment Unit (HRU) of the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) undertakes research, development and analysis in the area of natural and environmental hazards. The unit’s focus is on improving scientific knowledge and risk assessment of hazards significant to Singapore and the wider Southeast Asia region, aimed at augmenting stakeholders’ preparedness and resilience efforts. You will be part of a team conducting scientific studies, building system components to enhance early warning, and preparing risk assessment information for stakeholders. In the process, you will interact with policy and planning groups, operations departments, research partners and external users.
