A weather service providing company in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Position 1 : A Climatologist Post requirements :

1.    A high knowledge of Meteorological phenomena
2.    A high knowledge of meteorological data analysis
3.    Familiarity with  meteorological data formatting, reformatting and
4.    Facilities in interpreting meteorological data series.
5.    Skills in producing climate reports in English and/or Arabic.
6.    Abilities to use Fortran90 for programming and data processing
7.    A good knowledge in UNIX/LINUX operating systems with abilities to
write shell scripts.
8.    Very good knowledge of Meteorological data formats (GRIB1, GRIB2,
BUFR, NETCDF, Alpha Numeric, GTS).
9.    Having experience with international climatological databases and
their downscaling over a given region using models like (PRECIS, WRF,
REGCM, …etc).

Position 2: A Weather Forecaster Post requirements :

1-    BSc degree in math, physics, meteorology.
2-    Postgraduate certificate or MSc in meteorology from recognizable
3-    Meteorologist course (Mj-01) from regional training centre of the
4-    Fluent English language is a must, Arabic language will be an
advantage .
5-    Minimum of 5-years experience in forecasting of aviation purposes
6-    Experience in middle east ,subtropical weather will be an
advantage .
7-    Considerable knowledge of  the use of sophisticated meteorological
integrated system and satellite images ,NWP (numerical weather
prediction ) products   interpretations .
8-    Familiar with shifting system .
9-    Age up to 40 years old.

Remark : Equivalent certificates for requirements may accepted based on
the evaluation of the company.
