Several PhD positions focusing on ocean modeling, physical oceanography and data assimilation are open in Prof. Ibrahim Hoteit’s research group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The successful applicants will join an established research group working on the development of advanced modeling and data assimilation capabilities for the Red Sea. The group is involved in various modeling and forecasting projects in the Red Sea, including the joint KAUST/MIT/Scripps/PML Virtual Red Sea Initiative and the Saudi ARAMCO-KAUST Marine Environmental Observatory (SAKMEO).
