We are seeking to recruit a talented, statistically literate researcher for the EC “Horizon 2020” project FIDUCEO. The project is set to revolutionise the exploitation of Earth observations to quantify global climate change during the era of space-based remote sensing. You will help define and apply international best practice in creating climate data records that reflect the changes in Earth’s climate across the past four decades. You will help develop methods to quantify all aspects of the uncertainty of climate data records derived by remote sensing, to ensure the rigour of observational evidence relating to climate change. You will create new climate data records quantifying the surface temperatures of Earth. Further details can be found in the attachment or at https://jobs.reading.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=473
