This is a great opportunity for a catastrophe modeler with some experience in a
similar position or a PHD, MSc student in Atmospheric Science.
This is an expansive role with excellent growth and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will over time; be exposed to a large number of
clients and re-insurers, become familiar with the nuances of structuring and
pricing efficient reinsurance programmes, and learn how to match a client’s
risk appetite against the correct reinsurers and products to secure the best
coverage on their behalf.
The successful candidate will initially provide cat model support for the wider
team, for which they will receive comprehensive training on RMS, AIR and
CoreLogic. This extends not just to manipulating exposure data and producing
modelled loss estimates, but also to correctly interpreting and communicating
the findings to brokers, clients and reinsurers. During this period you will
also receive training on Guy Carpenters stochastic reinsurance modelling
platform, MetaRisk.

Full details are attached.
