Postdoctoral research associate in regional climate change and its impacts study, CEESMO at Chapman University
A postdoctoral position is available in the Center of Excellence in Earth Systems Modeling and Observations (CEESMO) at Chapman University. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team that conducts research on regional climate change and its impacts on various sectors such as agroecosystem, hydrological cycle and wildfire. The successful candidate will support the research team in topics related to regional climate, weather, and remote sensing as well as their applications to the fields such as agricultural modeling, wildfire danger, ecosystems, hydrology, remote sensing, and regional climate modeling.
A qualified applicant should have experience in the analysis of observed and model data and/or modeling of regional climate. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences, ecosystem science, hydrology, or a related discipline. Having experiences in satellite data processing and applications is highly desired.
The position is initially for a one‐year appointment and, subject to funding availability, can be renewed. Evaluation of applications will begin in December 17, 2016. The position will be available from January 1, 2017 and will remain open until filled.
