Postdoctoral Position in Climate Dynamics, Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, Columbia University
The Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics (APAM) at Columbia University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in climate dynamics. The successful candidate will work on an NSF-funded project to improve our understanding of Arctic climate dynamics using models, observations and theory. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in atmospheric science or other climate-related field. The position will be jointly located at APAM in New York, NY and at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, NY, in the research group of Lorenzo Polvani, Karen Smith and Michael Previdi.
Starting date can be as early as January 1, 2017 and the position will remain open until filled. This is a full-time, 2-year position, with continuation contingent upon funding.
