Dear Colleague,

I would be grateful, if you could forward the position announcement below to any interested candidates - many thanks.

Researcher position in biogeochemical ocean modelling at UiB:

There is a vacancy for a researcher position at the Geophysical Institute (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural sciences and the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research at the University of Bergen, Norway) in the field of biogeochemical ocean modelling. The successful candidate will work on further developing the sediment module of the global biogeochemical ocean model within the Norwegian Earth system model NorESM. The results will be used for elucidating the role of past changes in circulation and matter cycling as a basis for more reliable projections of future climate.

The position is for a period of 2 years and is externally funded through the RCN project ORGANIC - Overturning circulation and its implications for global carbon cycle in coupled models. UiB has a long-term commitment to contribute to excellence in climate research within the Bjerknes Centre for Climate research. UiB offers a lively and supportive research environment for Earth system science.
