[Met-jobs] Climate modelling research position at the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a Climate Research Scientist position as a regional climate modeller with the Irish Centre for High End Computing (ICHEC) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The successful candidate can choose to be based in ICHEC’s offices in either Dublin or Galway. The position is available immediately for a 12 month duration with the possibility of a one year extension. The position is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under its Climate Change Research Programme.

The candidate should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and have experience using Regional Climate Models such as WRF and/or COSMO-CLM. Experience running coupled atmosphere/ocean models is desirable.
